JOB,
There are several ways you can turn off Norton’s firewall.
1} in the tray at the bottom right of the screen there should be an icon for Norton firewall. Right click the icon, it should give you a menu. One of the options is to exit the firewall
2) Another is there maybe an icon on your desktop click the icon, one of the options on the menu will let you exit the firewall.
3) Look on the programs menu for Norton. Then the same as above.
Be careful not to disable the anti virus program instead. With my version (2003) when I disconnected the firewall I kept getting an annoying reminder the firewall was off. Also as soon as I got the firewall going my charts disappeared! That’s when I decided I had enough and went Zone Alert, (www.uant.net/firewall/zonealarmguide.html). ZA is top rated and I have the free version. Jack trades works perfectly with ZA. I still use Norton’s anti virus and the rest of the suit.
As for jack trades at the upper right of Jack window there is a menu the last menu option (lower right in the menu section). I use the free version so I can not help you with you JT questions.
