In Response To: Homework (Brian B.)

That's a good start Brian, but consider this: it is much more difficult to make $9000 a month with a $10K account than it is with a $25K account. While your averaging idea works on the surface you might find it difficult to achieve your goal right out of the gate.

HINT: Have you ever heard the story about the Chinese Emperor who wanted to reward one his soliders for his bravery? He offered the solider what ever he wanted. Know what the solider asked for? He asked that the Emperor would give him a pound of rice and double the amount of rice he had every day for a month.

Therefore on the first day the solider received a pound of rice. The second day he received two pounds, the third day he received four pounds, then eight pounds, sixteen, 32 and so on.

Does this give you any ideas about how you might achieve your goal?

PS. The story goes that after a week of this the Emperor realized that there wasn't enough rice in all of China to meet the solider's request...therefore like any good Emperor, he had the solider beheaded.

HINT 2: Try working backwards from your goal. Sometimes this makes it easier to see how to achieve it.
