In order for speculative sentiment to come back to gold or silver, they will have to move directionally with high volatility. Up without serious corrections. As time passes, recent burns in the metals will fade and sentiment will come back easier. But, at the moment, it will take a sustained move upward that happens rather quickly (which is beginning to happen).

It is when sentiment comes back and the average joe wants in, they pump cash into funds to buy etfs, into hedge funds to buy physical and futures. And we get what we had a few months ago.

We're not expecting this to happen. It is too early outside of attention grabbing market action. But, the market could get loud at any time... it pays to be prepared.
