Hi Mike,
There are no cons to electronic trading of currencies, almost all the volume is traded that way. The trading pits are obsolete, they won't be around for much longer. I give all pit trading a year or two before being phased out... and good riddance! Once you've traded on a platform like X_Trader or NinjaTrader, you'll wonder how on earth you ever traded before!
