One more thought! After mentioning the Soy competition, I took a quick look at the monthly chart for May Bean Oil, to see how it stood in comparison with Canola. Given the same approximate time span, bean oil had a 20-year low of 12.95 in Sept. of 1986, and a 20-year high of 35.18 in March 2004. I quick threw a Fib. on it, and it's now about 40 to 45% above its historic low. Still has some good upward potential if the world oils develop a shortage or find revenous demand, esp. from alternate energy sectors.
But you know, I STILL like the looks of that Canola chart a lot better!
