Hi Chris,
Soon after the first of the year I'm going to do another seminar online about trading Vertical Option spreads. They have their place but ar erelegated to minor staus in my trading.
I believe trading futures using S&R coupled with a well conceived management plan to control risk and adjust so the RRR always favors you is infinitely superior to trading any option strategy.
Options are the most manipulated and unfair vehicle for trading, in my opinion. I strongly believe the small spec traders best shot at growing an account comes about by trading futures contracts in the manner Erich and I are teaching.
If you ARE committed to trading options, I believe it is mandatory to develope an analytical regime and management program as if you were trading futures and observe the exact same discipline controlling your entries and exits as you would if trading futures.
The bid/ask spread and volum/OI provide too rich an advantage for market makers in options and puts the option trader so far behind the curve upon entry it becomes very difficult to overcome the vig.
