We did have it up and trading electronically a couple of years ago, but firm kept changing their servers and API and nearly drove poor Bill nuts. I was speaking with one of my brokers last week about it - which FCM has the best API and developer tools, that sort of thing. Once we have that figured out, I'll re-work the code a bit, make some modifications, and get it ready for prime time. It's a new trading world out there - we're now competing with machines that can executed 100's of thousands of trades per second! And size? They suck up all the liquidity at a given level, leaving us sitting with a lousy fill or worse, NOT FILLED. Then, just as quickly, the machines take profits, and everything reverses. This is the reason a very large number of hedge funds have left the capital markets - way too much needless volatility. They instead are investing in private companies, start-ups, new ideas,and new technologies. This actually is a much better use of capital in the long run - it creates.
