If you do not mind--First I appreciate your comments and others-- do too.

I am going to try and illustrate on a chart what you have said, for us that visually see better then we hear.

This chart may not show as many patterns that you would find on a ten minute chart or five minute. The pattern is still valid. I will investigate to see which I prefer--the tick or time bars for this.

Are you using these patterns on multiple chart sizes to determine direction?

On the chart I put the word qualified? If I understand your explanation right--this would not qualify as the leg is to high on the -4-. With the -w- or -m- patterns legs being labeled -1-beginning-2-3-4-5 which needs to close higher/lower then -1-. Give me more insight on this, please.

From the June 10th high on daily chart. The market has unfolded an potential -1-June 23rd High-2- July 1st -3- at July 8? Time will tell. If an up swing comes now it could form the four that would complete the -w- pattern. Just something to think about.

This system trades often. The advantage is one can walk into the trading room anytime and put on a trade in short order and out and leave to take care of other things. Or sit there and knock a chunk out in a day. Flexibility. Called Intraday Swing Trading.

Would that make mine--Intraday Short term Trading? Never thought of it in those terms.

Intraday long term--would be hold for the day?

Remember--every system has its advantage and disadvantage and only the trader's preference makes that so.

I pointed out several patterns---some were large enough to label--and many more not illustrated. Just to illustrate the method.

In the beginning one may miss many of the smaller patterns but still take a profit getting the larger easier visible ones. As vision/familiarity improves the smaller patterns will be caught.

I hope this helps everyone--and were all glad to hear your method or approach to trading. Does not mean we will change. It does mean we believe in diversity. Who knows who you will help with a little charity.

best trades to all
