Re your question, the U.S. Dollar is showing strength to the upside, I think, which should have a bearish effect on some commodities, including energy. Regardless, in my opinion, there always being other factors at work, all we can do (technically) is trade the individual charts, noting what the individual markets are doing without regard to what we think they should be doing.
