Here's some of my picks:
Best Trading Movie - Wall Street
I remember watching this when it first hit the theaters and I still consider it to be one of Oliver Stone's best pictures. I love the acting, but better yet is the grandness of the movie. What I mean to say is Gordon Gecko makes you see how great life as a trader can be. I love the line where he's in the limo with Charlie Sheen and he drives past an apartment block he sold for $80k and says "at the time it seemed like all the money in the world...now it's just a day's work".
Best non-Trading Trading Movie - Enemy at the Gates
The opening sequence of this movie should be required viewing for any novice trader. The scene shows a young Jude Law being coached by his grandfather how to hunt wolves in the Russian winter. You could almost take the advice word for word and put it into a trading environment. In fact, whenever I find myself getting nervous about a trade I think back to that movie.
So what's your pick for best trading movie ever?
