Good thoughts, Danna. Your heart's in the right place, I think, but I think the idea won't work, is all. (1) You might send out 30 emails, but it's virtually certain that a large number of the recipients wouldn't do anything at all. (2) Even if nobody bought gasoline from EXXON or Mobil, how long would that last? The other stations wouldn't be able to handle the demand. And even if the demand dropped, EXXON and Mobil would wait patiently, knowing that sooner or later (most likely sooner) the demand would return.

By your heart being in the right place, I'm referring to your "power to the people" thinking, which power, unfortunately, we seem to not have anymore, or want. For many of us, it's about all we can do to pay the rent or the home loan and other expenses, commute to and from work, work at least 40 hours per week, and then maybe have some time left over for American Idol, rock concerts, and sports on TV. So, also fighting giants is asking a lot!
