Another thing you can do Alan is consult a shorter term chart for opportunities. When prices are heading to the moon on the daily then you might consider taking a signal off an hourly intraday (even if you're not trading intraday). This will help keep you stops tighter and allow you to take a signal that might not be present on the daily.
But with that said, patience is the order of the day. I can't see trading Wheat anytime soon, nor Soybeans for that matter. Corn and Oats, maybe, and if we see resistance in Bean Oil I might give it a go, but there's lot's of other places we can play besides the grains.
